Location Information

When you use the Local Allergy Report feature, we access your approximate location (city/state) to provide current allergy conditions. Your location is used only while the app is open and is never stored permanently or shared with third parties.

Device Information

We do not collect device identifiers, usage analytics, or crash reports without your explicit consent.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used only to:

• Provide personalized allergy location recommendations
• Show local allergy conditions for your current area
• Save your preferences locally on your device
• Generate environmental analysis based on your allergy profile

Your location is used only when accessing the Local Allergy Report and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage Only

All your personal information and allergy data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage (UserDefaults). We do not transmit, store, or share your data on external servers.

API Usage

If AI insights are enabled, minimal anonymized data (city names and allergy categories) may be sent to Anthropic’s API to generate personalized insights. No personal identifiers are transmitted.

Third-Party Services

Anthropic Claude API Optional

If you enable AI insights, we use Anthropic’s API to generate personalized recommendations. Only allergy categories and city names are sent — no personal information. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.

Apple MapKit

We use Apple’s MapKit to display location data. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data stays on your device.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data at any time within the app
• Delete all your data using the “Clear All Data” option in Profile settings
• Opt out of AI insights by not providing an API key
• Request information about your data by contacting us

Children’s Privacy

AllergySafe+ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
